XIX. Interdisciplinary meeting of young life scientists

GENERAL INFORMATION

Interdisciplinary Meeting of Young Life Scientists is an annual prize awarding competition organized and powered in collaboration with a general and long-term commercial partner, Life Science division of Merck. The aim of the Meeting is to promote young Life Scientists in their early careers, to establish a platform for sharing their ideas, oustanding results and important innovations and, last but not least, to allow them for networking with other researchers. English is the official language of the Meeting.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION & REGISTRATION

Registration is opened for young researches and students under the age of 35 (year of birth 1984 and younger), who are employed in the Czech Republic or Slovakia. All interested are obliged to register and send the abstract of their presentation together with
a the list of publications before January, 31st 2019.

We kindly ask you to indicate during your registration for which section you would like to apply and whether you prefer to present a lecture or a poster. In 2019, the competition will be divided into the following sections (both for oral lectures and posters):
• Bioscience & Molecular Biology
(proteomics, genomics, synthetic biology etc.)
• Materials Science for Life
(biomaterials, polymer chemistry, biosensors etc.)
• Advanced Analytics in Life Science (separation techniques, mass spectrometry etc.)
• Organic Chemistry & Catalysis
(synthesis, medicinal chemistry etc.)

TIMELINE & PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Deadline for registration & abstract submission is January, 31st 2019. Expert committee will then select the best applications in all sections before March, 15th 2019.
All selected finalists will be invited to participate at the final competition during the Meeting itself which will take place at Hotel Devět Skal in Milovy on May, 20 –23th 2019. The authors of the winning oral lectures in each section and also authors of the best posters will be awarded a prize at the end of the Meeting. Meals and accomodation for all invited participants are pre-paid by the Organizers of the Meeting, the participants themselves are to cover their expenses for beverages during the event and transportation to the event venue.
