CANCELED DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMY.
The French chemist, Jean-Marie Lehn, winner of the 1987 Nobel Prize for Chemistry, accepted the invitation of the Director of the Biology Center, Czech Academy of Sciences, Libor Grubhoffer, and will visit České Budějovice in June 2020.
On Sunday, June 28, Jean-Marie Lehn will arrive in České Budějovice, accompanied by the scientific attaché of the French Embassy in the Czech Republic, Mathieu Wellhoff. On Monday, June 29, the world-renowned chemist will give a lecture on supramolecular chemistry at the Biology Centre of the CAS and the University of South Bohemia and he will discuss issues in natural sciences and human society with scientists at a round table discussion. The mayor of České Budějovice Jiří Svoboda will welcome him at 10 am.
The Nobelist´s visit will end on Tuesday, June 30, when Jean-Marie Lehn and Libor Grubhoffer will leave České Budějovice to visit the Johann Kepler University in Linz.
