HR AWARD – HRS4R

On the 1 December 2017 the Biology Centre CAS committed to the  keep recommendations of the European Commission no. 2005/251 / EC, The European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.    

These recommendations are closely connected to the strategy of HR development in science and research, and therefore the institution undertakes to create good working conditions  professional development as well as a secure transparent recruitment process.    

The Gender Equality Plan (GEP) was adopted to strengthen all the mentioned processes and ensure equal access not only during the selection procedure.

On 3 January 2018 the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports introduced “Action Plan of HR Development for Research, Development and Innovations and Gender Equality in Research, Development and Innovations in the Czech Republic for 2018-2020”This plan was approved by the Czech Government as one of their fields of priority. The Action Plan comprises a wide range of topics that are related to the areas of HR in development in research and development as well innovations that include a gender dimension of VaVal, popularization and publishing.  In essence, the plan is focussed on the progressive development of research institutions including their institutional culture.      

The grant “Incorporation of the Biological Centre of the CAS into the European Research Area _ IBERA” was worked out and subsequently approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to establish and keep the strategic management at the Biology Centre CAS in accordance with conditions for gaining a HR Award. The HR Award is granted to research institutions that implement the HRS4R strategy (The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers), which comes from the principles of the European Charter and Code of Conduct.

The IBERA project comes under the call “Development of Capacities in R&D” that encompasses Operational Programme Research Development and Education.

The Biology Centre CAS became an integral part of the European Research Area in order to be an equal and competitive partner to foreign scientific institutions and an attractive employer for scientists.
