Biology Centre CAS is a national public research institution founded in 2006 by the Czech Academy of Sciences. With its five research institutes (Institute of Entomology, Institute of Hydrobiology, Institute of Parasitology, Institute of Plant Molecular Biology and Institute of Soil Biology and Biogeochemistry) it ranks among the largest scientific centres engaged in environmentally oriented research in Europe.
