Mass Spectrometry Core Facility

The laboratory covers a broad spectrum of mass spectrometry-based analyses aimed at studying metabolism in diverse biological systems. It specializes in targeted and untargeted metabolomics, lipidomics, fluxomics, and related bioanalytical approaches based primarily on LC-MS and GC-MS technologies. The analytical scope includes complex sets of metabolites ranging from small polar compounds, organic acids, amino acids, and biogenic amines, through nucleosides, nucleotides, sugars and their phosphorylated or otherwise conjugated derivatives, to lipids, fatty acids, steroid and terpenoid hormones, bioactive peptides, and volatile organic compounds.
