Internal notification system

The Department, as an obliged person under Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), maintains an internal reporting system for the purposes of submitting and assessing notifications within the meaning of the Act.


Notification

A notification shall contain information about a possible violation that:

- has the characteristics of a criminal offence, or

- is a misdemeanour for which a fine of at least EUR 100 000 is imposed. An offence involving an offence of 100 CZK,

- or violates another legal regulation of the Czech Republic or a regulation of the European Union in the areas defined by law,

which has occurred or is about to occur in the case of a person for whom the whistleblower performs or has applied for a job or other similar activity (whistleblower).

The competent person designated by the workplace within the meaning of the Act:

- Assesses the validity of the report;

- Assesses notifications from persons who have performed or are performing work for the workplace in a basic employment relationship, or in the context of a volunteer activity, professional practice or internship, or have applied for such work or other similar activity.


Methods of notification

The methods of notification through the Workplace's internal notification system are in writing, orally, or, at the request of the notifier, to the person, using the contacts listed below:

  • In writing via the electronic notification application

The electronic notification platform is a simple, secure application used for written communication between the notifier and the relevant person.

  • In writing via e-mail

Notifications by secure email shall be sent to a designated email address accessible only to the relevant person.

  • In writing in paper form

Notification in paper form shall be sent by post to the correspondence address of the establishment at the hands of the person concerned.

  • Orally by telephone

By telephone, notifications can be made on a secure telephone line accessible only to the appropriate person.

  • In person

If the notifier so requests, the notification will be received by the competent person in a personal meeting within a reasonable period of time communicated to the notifier, but not later than 14 days.

The Department shall exclude the receipt of anonymous notifications and notifications from persons who do not perform work or other similar activities for the Department as an obliged entity pursuant to Section 2(3)(a), (b), (h) or (i) of the Act.
